Compact Appliance Living Direct Network Worst Customer Service In History!!! Austin Texas

Buyer beware - stay away from this company!!! We had read many bad reviews about this company but still bought from them since we tend to assume most companies will do honest business. What a mistake!! The reviews were 100% accurate and this company is terrible to deal with.

We had bought an Edgestar Washer/Dryer combo from Compact Appliance who advertised "free shipping". We found out after our order was placed that it was curbside delivery - this means someone has to be home for a whole day - yes you read right - we were given an 8 hour window for our machine to be delivered, and furthermore, we had to figure out how to get a 200 lb machine from the curb into our home! The "free delivery" is advertised all over the site while "curbside delivery" is in small print - contrary to what all customer service representatives say - they should check the website every now and then to have their facts straight.

The shipping company - Old Dominion Shipping - is also pretty bad because they give you that 8 hour window, and then show up towards the end of that window! The customer service representatives from both Compact Appliance and Old Dominion Shipping were completely useless, and not polite on the phone!

Not our story just gets worse. The machine was defective. Edgestar told us to contact Compact Appliance to get an exchange. The customer service from Compact Appliance it the worst - they need us to pay for a new machine, go through the pain in the backside to get it, save the box, package the defective machine in the box, and then wait 5 more days to arrange a time for it to be picked up...again only from the curb!

The hassle is just not worth it. Stay away from this company!!! When calling the customer service and asking what they can do to help us out, they were completely insensitive, and not helpful. The representative just kept repeating the same dumb lines as if he was a robot and not a caring individual. They do not care for their customers. If you choose to buy any products from them, you have been warned!
