I bought a car in 2000. 2003 the transmission blew on vehicle and I couldn't afford the $3200 to fix it. Had already made over 2 years of payments on this piece of garbage @ $320/month.
CPS staff are the rudest;most uncouth people and LIARS. They were told every single time that they were not to call my work. They ignored that request. Also funny is their staff would change over every 3 months or less. Guess they treat their staff poorly also. I did also make 4 more payments of $500 AFTER my car was repossessed.
NOW...5 years later they all of a sudden start calling me at work AGAIN and say I owe them$2309.15. Right!!! Since I had put $2000 down..this $4800 car according to their inflated figures actually was $12,709.15 .
Some other developments...my son did some research and CPS is no longer licensed for collections in state of Nevada since 8/1/08. This account shows on my credit report as a Charge Off. Like my title says...this company is just a bunch of BLOODSUCKING LEECHES!!!!!!

I am wondering how we band together to get some of our money back and stop them from getting richer. I see one lawsuit listed against them so there must be a way. I am also wondering how your son found out they lost their collection license for Nevada. Do they need a collection license for every state?

i bought a car and financed it through cps. i kept my car for 6months just to rebuild my credit and traded it in for a new one. the dealer i traded it in to paid off my loan with cps. i never once was treated bad, i made all my payments on time and the car i financed through them was a very nice 2003 grand am gt. the dealer overpaid on my pay off and cps sent me a check for the over payment. so i think this company is really good to finance a vehicle through. its seem like they treat people the way they are treated on the phone when they call you. (rude).. try to be nice sometimes, companies will work with you more.
