All, I purchased 5 year extended warranties for all my appliances from them and have just found out that I have been scammed.  I have never  posted online complaints before, but it would be worth it if it saved one other from wasting their money on this company's warranties.  Basically, they sub-contract with appliance repair companies in your area and ask for a credit card upfront, which was the first sign this was a scam.  They then have the other company come by and will end up charging you $75 per appliance for a "cleaning fee," which was never done.

Avoid this Company like the plague, as you will end up spending money on their worthless warranty and only be able to sue it once.  I purchased a 5 year warranty, so I got screwed, though I provided those scammers with a non-working credit card! :)

Bottom line, stay away from this company and purchase your warranties elsewhere.  If it's too good to be true, it probably isn't!

Nice try Ely

Eli, There's absolutely no need to call you so that you can remind me that when I accepted your sleazy $800 settlement that it relieved you of all liability in the matter.  I was born at night, but it wasn't last night!  I'm now only attempting to help the next person to not fall into the same trap and just how dishonest your company is.  You won, after 2 1/2 months I couldn't take it anymore and took your $800 settlement, even though my TV was listed on a reputable website like Amazon.com for $1799.00.  No, you guys limit your liable by using BuySquad.com.  Well, I tried to order that TV you gave me the link for as you forced your sleazy tactics on me, only to find a more sleazy company existed.  The mere fact that you use BuySquad and similar websites for liability is something people need to know about.  As stated, I made an order to receive the Samsung TV you posted as a suitable replacement, only BuySquad's prices do not included free shipping.  CPS however took another $100 off BuySquad's pricing because you don't pay for shipping and that was supposedly included in their prices.  Well no it is not!  They would only process the order if I paid another $279.00 for shipping insurance and white-glove delivery services.  So now I'm already down the $100 you guys don't give me for BuySquad shipping charges, but they want to charge $279.00 on top of that, so I'm not down $379.00.  That's not all however, it gets much worse, because then I get the Full-Monty from BuySquad.com.  The panel on that Samsung TV you referenced is a Grey Market TS-01 Chinese LCD panel with only a 30-day warranty.  If I want the US model of that same Samsung TV, wow another $900 added to the $279,  so now I'm looking at an $1179.00 up-charge, plus the $100 you didn't give me for free shipping.  That's now a whopping $1,279.00  CPS saved in liability damages by using such a b.s website in BuySquad.com.  You should be ashamed of yourselves for using such scamming websites only to limit your liability, but this is a story that needs to be told!  You were able to slim your way out of paying me the extra $1279.00,  the real equivalent of my TV or going through a reputable website like Amazon, which of course would have cost $1955.99 after taxes.  Those were the actual replacement costs of my TV, but you didn't and you refused to repair my broken panel.  I may be stuck with my $800 settlement and no TV, but I certainly hopes this sheds light on what type of company your really are and helps safe the next person!

CPS - Stay far away from this Company

AUTHOR: apdamico - ()

STAY FAR AWAY FROM CPS - WHEN YOU NEED THEM, THEY'RE NOT THERE FOR YOU!  My unfortunate dealings with this company yielding me nothing more than a return of my original extended warranty purchase, even though the TVs still had 2 plus years remaining under CPS warranty.  Talk about a run around, this company is the worst.  They will shuck and jive you until you finally just can't take it anymore, it's just not worth the hassle.  Go with a reputable company like SquareTrade or Mack.   When they attempt to settle, your TV of course is worth less than 1/2 because their pricing is based on Bait & Switch websites like:  BuySquad, EastCoastTVs and TVSuperStores.  None of those sites actually have the TVs posted and they sell nothing but junk.  I told CPS to just get me the same TV instead of settling from one of those sites and they refused, knowing those sites are nothing but BS.  Then CPS will want you to mail them your 70" TV at your expense!  What warranty company makes you do that?  When I said SquareTrade pays for your returned item if they want you to return it to their warehouse.  The answer from CPS was, "We have never heard of a company called SquareTrade".  Do you believe that?  I sure Don't!  Just stay away from this company, it's just not worth the headache, should something go wrong.  I never had an issue before that required fixing, but I'll certainly never deal with this company again!
