Voluntary Repossession?

AUTHOR: Robert - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, February 04, 2015

I don't know the details about your situation but it sounds like there was a voluntary repossession.  When you forfeit your vehicle back to the lender, the lender will sell the vehicle to try and recoup the loan amount. You will be financially liable for any difference in the sales price and the remaining balance on the loan.  If you were just a co-signer on the original loan your ripoff report should be aimed at the original borrower.

Again I don't know if this applies but if it does there should have been some  correspondence form the lender explaining the process.  Hope everything works out for you.
