Covenant Transport Everything YOU Should Know: A Guide to the Crappiest Trucking Company in Existence Chatanooga Tennessee

Covenant Transport. I joined the company with zero expierence, a CDL, and a whole lot to learn about the Trucking Industry.

I stepped off the Greyhound with amongst 7 or 8 other gentleman waiting for the van shuttle that would "shuttle" us to the hotel. The van was in control of a man who looked like an extra off the set of "Water World". The shotgun seat seated a sickly looking female with a whole lot of wit regarding SWIFT drivers and homosexuals (she didn't like either very kindly).

Luckily for me I was roomed with a pretty cool dude who had previously worked for Covenant. He didn't have the best things to say, yet, he didn't have the worse.

The hotel you stay in resembles jail. I'm a caucasian male, yet I'm not blind. Black people were often disenfranchised by certain white workers. An example, my roommate who was black asked this thriving c**t for a towel, she said they didn't have any. 5 minutes later towels magically became available to me,a white person!! Imagine that!

After the hotel, the orientation and endless hours of staring at Melanie's t**s (she's beatiful) I was put on the truck with a trainer. I did my trainer a huge favor, commuted to another state via greyhound to meet up with him. (This process was drastic in itself, communication was minimal with "white house" staff, how I would meet him and other arrangements were never discussed...this move was honestly dangerous and I wouldn't have done it knowing what I know now).

Now, I'm with my trainer. He fails to introduce himself like most decent civilized humans do. Instead of a handshake, I get an introduction on how bad a*s he is, how long he's been hauling freight, etc...

He's a smoker. I'm not. I refuse to sleep on the bottom bunk due to the 2 bottles of lubrication, pornographic video's, and the array of Mountain Piss laying around the floor, bunker, and everywhere else. I fell off the top bunk two times. He was verbally abusive and at times, he would threaten to kill me or harm me. I told Covenant this, and surprisingly nobody took this seriously. It was time for a new trainer. (Getting a new trainer wasn't an easy process, they waited until we got routed to a terminal, and I often stayed in hotels to avoid the abusive nature of this man).

My new trainer was amazing. Taught me how to back up very well. He had great communication skills. Let me use his fridge. Was just a down to earth awesome guy who totally changed my view of the company...until I had to team up after testing out!

These were just a few examples of what I've came across with Covenant. I really didn't even get into the company side of things. Out on the road, you can be waiting up to a day or two (which isn't that bad) for a new load assignment. My dispatcher is scum, disrespectful, and could careless about you. The staff at the main terminal look down upon you, as if you're subhuman.

I'm currently with the company but I am currently looking for new work. DO NOT work for this company unless you absolutely have to (no expierence, etc). They are Christian Conservative Terrorists. Not the tree hugging pacifists that Jesus became so well known for.
