Ok, So i was a driver for Covenant Transport for about a year after getting done with Werner and Cr England.

I was told by dispatch and by that guy they call "Kujo" to sit and wait at the wounderfull hole in the wall, roach and bug infested, prison like Covenant Motel untill my truck was ready.

Witch i did and i was at the terminal everyday and everyone saw me there (My logs show that) and I waited a good month or so at that s**thole and so, i started getting fed up with it cause they refused to pay me layover pay (witch i was entitled to receive) so, I went to ask them what was going on and when my truck would be ready.

So, they informed me that i had quit when in fact i havent quit and i was at the motel and terminal everyday asking and demanding to know what the deal was cause i ready to get back out on the road.

How a company can tell an employee that they quit is beyond me, Especially when the employee did not quit at all and was doing what they where informed to do and keeping in contact on a daily basis.

So, after that i went up to the "executive level" as they call it and tried to get to the bottom of what was going on and come to find out that i set the quitting thing strait and infact proved to them that i indeed did not quit and then what happened? They fired me and refused to pay me any of the layover pay owed to me and refused to pay unemployment and tried charging me for the stay at the motel.

So,if anyone has half a brain they would not work for Covenant Transport....

First off I'm a current Covenant Driver for 2 years  now and have not experienced any of what you've stated to be true. The Covenant Hotel in Chattanooga I found to always be clean and well run, your statements of roach, bug infested prison is only said out of hate and discontent with the Company I'm sure.

As for your statements of, waiting a good month or so for your truck to be fixed, I find ridiculous. Yes i know the shops can be backed up at times but I've never waited more then 2 days for repairs and I've been out rolling again. If you're truck was going to be in the shop for over a month you would have been issued another one, as the company makes money like yourself when you're rolling and not when you're waiting for repairs. When I was first hired they told me if I was off for more then 7 days in a row, you are placed out the system, basically meaning you quit. You have to check in with your dispatcher and keep them updated as to the situation of your truck repair time. Just showing up at the terminal isn't going to do it.

With all I've stated here is what I found from my dealings with them and my opinions only of course and I wish you luck in what you do in the future.
