Cricket Cell phone ripoff

 Cricket sold phones to customers that were under their controlled network(CDMA) without informing customers that they were swithching to a different network. The cause of the switch to the differnt network was due to the merger with AT&T(GSM). 

The CDMA phones that Cricket sold included Samsung Galaxy's in which some customers financed these phones in order to use them. The finance charges through YBUY financial were also a ripoff and both companies have utilized unethical business practices to ripoff their customers.

The only solution that they are trying to settle this with is letting the customer trade in their phones for a measly $100.00, when the customer paid $600.00 for the phone and outlandish finance charges with YBUY. The customer will still need to pay the remaining balance on the phone they want to trade in and the phone they want to get.

As of March 2015, all CDMA phones through Cricket will go dead once the merger is complete and the phones will be unuseful. These phones cannot even be unlocked to use with a another cell phone carrier and customers will still owe money on their phones.

The following needed/needs to happen to make this right.

1. Cricket should have informed their customers of this merger before the purchase. 

2. These phones should have been made compatible to the GSM network.

3. These phones should have been upgraded for free to the GSM network.

4. Cricket should be held responsible for the price of the phone and the YBUY finance charges.
