I too got trapped in the same web. As soon as I got the text message I opted out. But when I got the next cell phone bill, there was the charge for $9.99.

I used 888 number listed by another victim. The number I called identified itself as INFO TEXT ALERTS. It gave this web address: CANCELALERTS.COM

When I filled out their form to cancel I got a message that I was already opted out!

I filled out a contact form and after I submitted it - it took me to a blank screen without any confirmation messages. I don't even know if it went through.

Now will have to waste more time and resubmit. There needs to be laws about this kind of scam.
