direct tv Lied about package info at sales level , Internet

I called Direct TV to inquire about services and was put through the ringer with personal info then told I had opened an account! They ran my credit and when I said all I was doing was inquiring about service and pricing I was rudely informed I called the wrong number. Then the rep used vulgar language while speaking over the top of me and I finally hung up on him not knowing if I was going to be charged for anything since he said I'd opened an account!

I called back and spoke to someone else and he was professional and we went through the whole info grilling again so I could get a price and ended up saying I'd do it. I had specifically asked if I would get 2 sports channels and was reassured I would - of course!

Well, I didn't and when I called the evening of the install they said if I wanted the two channels I had been told was included they said it would be an upgrade of $. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was put on hold for quite some time and after much explaining and pleading for them to do what they said they would do I asked to be disconnected, the customer service with Direct TV is horrid.

I requested they listen to the recorded conversation to verify what was promised in the package but they said all they could do (although were sorry it was misrepresented) was to upgrade for more $ or I could cancel, which I did.

Stay away from Direct TV - you will possibly be misled, mistreated and stressed out. Horrible business - horrible customer service - I was only a customer for a few hours!
