Direct TV Deceptive advertising - Breach of Contract Nationwide

Direct TV promised "Triple Play - Direct TV, Verizon internet and telephone service. After installing dish antenna I learned that Verizon does not support internet and phone service in my are (Saugerties, NY) and I attempted to cancelled package. Direct TV agents were unsupportive and failed to agree that they had "breached a contract" in that they could not provide the "Triple Play" that I had purchased. They admitted that the agent who signed me up had failed to do dilligence with regard to service obligations, but would not undo their mistake.

I canceled my Direct TV service and was treated as if I had created this mess. At every turn Direct TV fought me with regard to payments (they charged my credit card and I was forced to put a stop-payment with my credit card company). I simply wanted Direct TV to undo everything and that would be the end. They refused and I have now been forced to institute a Small Claims action against them. Trial pending. Bottom line - this is a poorly run company and I would not recommend it to my worst enemy.
