My husband I moved to a new house and after having DirecTV for four years, we decided to check out what Dish had to offer. We noticed that they were cheaper by about $10 a month, but to make sure we were comparing apples to apples and getting all the same channels, I called Dish to confirm the channels we'd be receiving. I made a specific inquiry to the Big 10 Network as my husband and I are both Big 10 graduates and that's the channel we catch all the college games on. Big 10 Network is included in the DirecTV package and the woman I talked to at Dish assured me it was included in the Dish package we were looking at. Great! We save $10 a month, we signed up. 

Turns out we don't get the Big 10 Network and actually have to pay an extra $9 a month to receive it. So, why did I switch to Dish then? I was referred to the Executive Resolution Team and a woman named Rebecca Dougherty said she would request that the phone call be pulled so they could listen to it. I was told it would take 2 weeks. It's been almost a month and after sending many emails and voicemails to Rebecca, I have not heard a peep from her since we first talked. I'm guessing she's assuming I will just go away. So much for customer service. In the four years I had DirecTV, I didn't have a single issue and will be going right back to them after my two year contract with Dish is up.
