when i first spoke with dish network rep. i explained i had cable, and received a pamplet in the mail stating to order dish network and all the channels were in high def. the rep. told me their equipment would do all that my cable does!. so i signed up. when the installer came out to put it in, i asked him if their were any channels not in H.D., the installer laughed and stated none of the channels were in H.D. ,i told the installer this was not what i was told or promised, the installer stated quote-dish network will lie, deceive, and tell you anything you want to hear to get you signed up!,then they will tell you, you have to purchase a $600.00 receiver to get what they promised,i filed a complaint with the B.B.B, but all they have done is lie and dance around the truth, offering no solution to the problem. they also told me dish network was not responsible for any of they sister companies lieing to me! Trust Me,stay with cable,do not trust dish network..They are a nightmare waiting to happen!

as a dealer i have to follow dish networks guide lines. so what ever the promotion is at the time. thats what i have to offer. some dealer may have their own promo. to try to get the consumer to come in. so when im talking to someone i offer them a copy of the contract at the time. if they want to review it along when any other materials. dish network does reserve the right to change the contract and the programming without any written or verbal notification to the consumer. the consumer as to do their own research for the info. calling dealers, the factory, bbb, surf the web and ripoff report. if you can complaint here . then can also do research here. just do your homework. the world still not perfect and you still be taken advantage of. ive been doing this 25 years and i still miss somthing once in a while. but thats why i have a customer turn off rate of less than 1 percent after installtion. because if that dealer isnt honest. it will come back to haunt them. find you a dealer who knows what they are doing. that you dont mind paying for the that special treatment. now their are some limitations to doing this. but how many dealers do you know . can put 2 dual tuners in one location. mix the dvd player and the local tv antenna . so that every tv in the house can watch all 4 dish network receivers , the dvd player and the local antenna. a little research can go a long way.

Do Your Research

Every large company has a website that has all of the specials and the fine print of such specials on their site. You may want to take responsibility as a consumer to research what you purchase before doing so. My husband and I are incredibly happy with Dish Network and it bothers me to see complaints from consumers who do not research or do not read contracts before getting service. I read every contract I sign or do not get a service if I don't agree with the contract.
