I called dish to switch from mediacom so that I could watch the red sox games. The salesman told me that with the 250 channel package I would be able too. When the installer installed dish he said no that I would not be able to. I called dish and they said I would have to get the sports package to watch all the red sox games. So I did and the rep gave me a 6 month credit of the 11 dollars per month. The installer told me that now I could watch all the red sox games.
Today is the first full day that I have dish and there is a red sox game on tonight. I went to the channel and it says it is blacked out. I called dish and they blamed it on the league for the blackout. She gave me a 5 dollar credit per month but that still does not put the game on tv. Had they told me some games would be blacked out and been honest with me I might not have switched. She couldn't even tell me approximately how many games I could watch. It seems like they just said what I wanted to hear until I was locked into the 2 year contract.
I was also told that I could get a 50 dollar referral credit and just had to give the referral number to the installer but the installer said no I should have given it to the salesman. I called dish while installer was still here and he said the install was closed out even though it wasn't installed yet. He said he would have to write up some kind of review and overide and that someone would call me back in about 3 days. Dish needs to be honest with people and stop the bait and switch.
