I am a former DISH CUSTOMER 

date begin business : April 2012 

In early 2013 I called Dish to see how much longer I had on my contract before I can cancel my service without penalties to avoid fee's...The lady on the other end said I had a few more months left on my contract ...and warned me if I cancelled my services now that I am held to a binding contract that I will be charged for  an early disconnection. Since I don't ever watch tv ..., she recommended that if money was the issue that I can downgrade my DVR box to a basic Dish box to save money ...She dicussed the price difference and I agree ...She then adviced me not to pay my bill right away and wait until the transfer of the boxes ..since there was a big price difference and she didn't want to have me over pay ..and said she would make note of it on her end ...

Soon the box with new equipment arrived ....I switched them ... sent back the DVR box  to them ....

Then I notice when I plugged in the new one it said something of the fact that my service was disconnected and to call the Dish number provided ... I did just that ...they ran me through some issues and had me discconect the box and plug it back in after some odd minutes .... well the cable on tv screen was still telling me i was dissconnected ...

I then call the Dish company again ..to check my balance and It said my service was dissconnted ..so I payed the amount due on phone to automated service ....5/20/13 .... 

I have no service !!!! and I payed my bill!!!

I thought that would reconnect me as it said after paying on phone that my services would be turned back on 

NEVER DID IT TURN BACK ON

I don't watch tv at all ..so when kids came over to watch tv it still then wasn't turned on ...date 6/17/2013

I called " not happy at this point" I never got service for my payment on my end

I talked to someone who turned my call over to a Supervisor ...time 2:04 pm date 6/17 /13

He wouldn't give me name but said to me all I need is date and time to find this call that it was being recorded he assured me

I explained my case to him and he agreed that I did pay and then I was dissconnected and he sees that I haven't had service since .... 

I told him that It was illegal I payed for service that was never giving to me ..and I am not sticking to a cancellation fee contract if they can't stick to their contract of providing me services when I have paid .... 

He apologized on the behalf of  Dish ..and saw that I was right ..and agreed that I will be free of all service cancellation charged ....that I will NOT have to pay to get out of the contract...I was happy for once I was being treated fairly and right by them .... 

now date : Aug 12, 2013 I receive a statement from Dish that they are taking $210.00 out of my bank for breaking my 2 yr contract with them 

I was angry ...how could this be ..they are still trying to steal money from me without any service 

I called Dish that second .....

1ST CALL:::::

first guy hung up on me .. AUG 12,13  5:18PM 

(my husband avised me to record the future calls with dish and ask for names and ID #'s ..so I did just that )

2ND CALL!!!!

NAME ALL SHE WOULD GIVE ME IS JC AND REFUSED NAME BUT GAVE ID #DYL

TIME 5:19 PM

SHE TRANFERRED ME TO SUPERVISOR  MIKE ID#UPW 

he said he was not supervisor and he was transferring me to someone else 

 

3RD CALL!!!

5:30PM

at the end of converstation I asked again if he was a supervisor and he replied no he wasn't . He then said he would transfer me to a person higher then a supervisor for my case at the resolution center to:

Carrie sankco (? spelling) 

 

she gave me wrong ID# I03 it should have been IL3 & , wrong extention number to contact her back at and hung up on me 

2ND TIME BEING HUNGED UP ON!!!!

( but all agreed that I did pay my bill and I was dissconnected afterwards, but without help to me that a supervisor promised i would be out of contract without fees)

4TH CALL!!!!

time around 6:00 pm

I called 1-303-942-8605 the number carrie sankco gave me  I press 11111 for an extension and some how a guy from the resoulution center answered the phone 

name : Paul Jonhson (resolution center)

he actually listened without hanging up on me  ....He told me basicly that he doesn't believe 3 of his business employees would hang up on me ..and that he see's in his computer that I am recording all calls and that carrie had made her own notes saying that our converstation ended with a lost call .(they use a  landline!!!)

I have recordings that I was hung up on I must admit by this point im fuming but with rights to be!!!!! but i tried my best not to be nasty with them ..I tried!! 

he also corrected me of Carries ID# as stated above ..but disagreed  

He said," It doesn't show ever that I called after the order of the basic Dish box ..I called 2x's before Aug, 2013 12,2013

1st time  to see what was wrong with my Dish service / box  ...

2nd when I spoke to supervisor who agreed to let me out of binding contact without fees..

Strange that he only see's todays calls ..and todays notes of me recording my calls ..VERY STRANGE ...no notes or proof of my other calls before that day ....

THEY ARE TRYING TO CON ME INTO GIVING THEM MONEY...THIS IS FRAUD ...EITHER I  PAY BY RECONNECTING OR I PAY $210 TO CANCEL OUT CONTRACT 

WHEN I OWED $0.00 ...ACTUALLY THEY OWE ME THE LAST MONTH SERVICE OF $25.16 THAT I PAYED AND NEVER RECIEVED SERVICE FOR !!!! 

HE CLAIMS THERES NO RECORD OF ME CALLING IN ON ANY DATE AFTER 5/20/13 TILL TODAY .....OR COURSE NOT YOU CAN CHANGE INFO BUT I HAVE MY TIMES AND DATES WHEN I CALLED !!!  

HE THEN IMFORMED ME NOT ONLY WILL I BE CHARGED THE $210.00 FOR BREAKING CONTRACT THAT THEY ARE GOING TO CHARGE ME FOR THE BOX SOON AS WELL ...I SAID NO YOUR NOT YOU HAVE TO PROVIDE ME WITH POSTAGE AS THIS IS YOUR PRODUCT ..HE CLAIMS POSTAGE STAMP IS ON IT'S WAY ...AND I ALSO DEMENDED A EMAIL COPY OF MY SIGNATURE ON CONTRACT AND HE TELLS ME THAT I DIDN'T SIGN IT THAT MY BOYFRIEND AT THE TIME DID WHO WAS VISITING FROM ENGLAND DID ..WHY DID THE SERVICE GUY NOT ASK ME TO SIGN IT I WAS HERE WHEN HE INSTALLED IT ????  CAN THEY ACCEPT SOMEONE ELSES SIGNATURE ON A 2 YR CONTRACT DEAL FOR ME ???  

HE CLAIMS AND IS THE FIRST OF ALL THESE PEOPLE TO SAY THAT THE REASON WHY I WAS DISCCOECTED WAS BECAUSE WHEN I SWITCH MY BOX OVER I NEVER CALLED IN THE NEW ONE TO ACTIVATE IT ...I NEVER KNEW I NEEDED TO ACTIVATE IT !!! AND WHY DIDN'T THE GUY ON THE PHONE WEEKS BACK WHEN I CALLED NOTICE IT ..WHY DID HE SAY TO JUST UNPLUG MY BOX ??? ISN'T IN THEIR COMPUTER THAT I SWITCHED HE NEVER ASKED ME FOR NO NUMBERS ON THE BACK OF THE BOX ..OH WAIT HE SAID I NEVER MADE THAT CALL TO DISH ..THAT NONE OF MY CALLS BETWEEN THEM DATES EVER HAPPENED !!! 

HE SAID HE WOULD WELL ..SO FAR NO EMAIL WITH THE SIGNATURE CONTRACT ...NOT LOOKING GOOD!!! 

I RECORED PHONE CALLS ON IPAD I'M  UPLOADED THEM TO MY COMPUTER 

 TERRIBLE SERVICE THEY ARE ROBBING PEOPLE OF THEIR MONEY ...IF YOU DISH OUT BAD SERVICE AND YOUR CUSTOMERS AREN'T HAPPY AND YOU CAN PROVE YOU WERE TREATED WRONG ....A CONTRACT SHOULD BE BROKEN WITHOUT COST!!! 

THATS NOT A WAY TO RUN A COMPANY BY FORCING YOUR CUSTOMERS TO PAY!!!! FOR NO SERVICE!!!!! 

I pay all my bills the same time every month on the 20th of each month ..never was I late ...never did I not pay ammount in full!!!

Cellphone company has on record that I called DISH on June 17 2013 and talked for over an hr roughly so now why doesn't it show on their computers the same? ..also I viewed my recorded calls... Some of the calls took and some didn't I even have one guy who claimed he was a supervisor at beginning and by the end he says he'll direct my call to a supervisor?? I thought he was one!! . I am telling the truth!
