DR Power Equipment Refused to honor warranty. Verennes Vermont

I bought a DR Powerwagon.  Their website says that they have a 6 month warranty on their equipment - if you don't like it, you can return it for a full refund.

I found the Powerwagon to be underpowered and dangerous.

If you load it with any amount of material (in this case firewood), it will not go up even a 5% grade without outside physical help.  Since I'm 70, I was unable to push the Powerwagon up hill.  I could barely do it when it was unloaded.  In addition, if you go around a downhill curve, it will tip over and you need to be quick (and in a good position) to avoid being crushed.

I tried to return it to the dealer only to be told that they do not honor the 6 month warranty.

I called the company (several times) only to be told that the warranty only applies if you bought it directly from the company.  They said they could not control what their dealers did or did not do.

That policy is not stated on their website.

The reason I bought it from the local dealer was to save the shipping charges which were considerable (Vermont to Califormia).

I left it will the dealer since they said they would try and sell it.  If they do, it will be as a used piece of equipment.

So far, they have not sold it nor does it appear that they have ever tried to sell it since it is collecting dust in the back of their shop.
