Duke Energy Legal Price Gouging, Abusive charges, Internet

Welive in a2 bedroom, 1,088 sq. ft. condominium, all electric.When we moved from our house in Spring Grove Village, we expected our bill to decrease. Now, only three years later, our bill has surpassed what it was in the house. Inflation? nope. 'RIDERS'!!! What are riders? They are extra fees, approved by the Public Utilities Commission, that we are charged every month for delivery, generation, cost recovery, transmission, environmental, homeland security tax costs, etc.

What I want to know is, if we have to pay for all these charges ourselves, why can't we just go to the same supplier and get the electricity without Duke?

These charges have increased a 2,864 kWh charge of $60.56 to a balance due of $312.69. A notation on the front of our bill near the bottom explained that another 'RIDER' to cover the cost of 'UNCOLLECTIBLE EXPENSE' would show an increase in a monthly bill of 60%!!!

We know we are not the only ones who feel this pinch. Where does it stop? As Duke Energy Hostages (not customers), we need to protest this legalized mafia-like gang of utility supplier and regulator, Duke and PUCO.

Gas prices have soared, utilities have soared, even internet service is high, if you don't have a "package." Wages have not increasednearly that much. As a result, we find ourselves eating lower quality foods, skimping on medicines, and virtually eliminating tithes. Duke Energy will not be my god,as they are making themselves.

I would very much like to know theincome amount claimed on Mr.Duke's 2010 1040. I would very much like him to visit the homes and get to know the people he bleeds to death, literally. I challenge him to do this. If he has any heart atall, he will cease passing on his business liabilities without sharing his profits with his customers.
