I, like so many others I have talked to, ordered the e-Pro Auction Success Kit. They claim to be an eBay Certified Developer. In the packet they sent me was a cd, some flyers and a phone number. I called the number to get more information. I was set up with a conference call with a guy by the name of Eric Rash. He called me a few days later and tried to talk me into a program where I would get 1-on-1 training with one of their professionals. The cost would be $2000.00. I told him I needed to think about that kind of an investment.
A few days later, when I was doing my bank statement, I found a charge for $3.87 to a company by the name of "M. SERVING HOSTING" and another charge for $49.95 to a company by the name of "AUCTION KIT 866377". When I contacted my bank about these 2 charges they told me they were from a company by the name of e-Pro Auction and gave me a toll free number to call. I called them and told them that I did not authorize this payment, but they said that when I got the cd I was given 14 days to cancel or they would charge my account. That was absolutely false!!!
In the brochure it said that "included on the cd is a free 14 day trial". Since I never started this so-called free trial I don't know how they can claim that I owned this money. I called them to complain and asked for my money back, but got some rude person who barely spoke English. He said that there was "NO WAY" that I could get my money back since I had agreed to the terms and conditions of the 14 day free trial period.
I called back and talked to Eric Rash, who told me that he would get my money refunded. He said that it would take 4-5 business days to get this done. I waited almost 3 weeks and never received a dime back. I finally went to my bank and filed a dispute. They have issued me a temporary credit for the $49.95 so I hope this is all it will take and that will be the end of it.
I first saw this FREE e-Pro Auction Kit advertised on a website called www.auctiva.com. Everyone, BEWARE of this ripoff company. They are very difficult to work with and it is nearly impossible to get your money back. I had to have my bank do it for me.
