The wire fraud scam started on ebay. I think they stole an ID called timorth. They showed a boat on a 3 day auction. I emailed them a question. Later, they ended the auction, emailed me saying the guy didn't pick up the boat, made me an offer. They wanted to use an escrow service- www.escrowexperts.com The seller runs the escrow site. You wire money thinking it is going to an escrow account until you get your merchandise and approve of it then they send him the payment. NOT.
The money now is going to a bank in Estonia. They keep changing banks. How many people even know where that is. I caught it in time and got my money back. check out www.carbuyingtips.com Scroll down and you will find alot of good info. If you have been taken by this scam, notify the FBI at www.ifccfbi.gov. Also, contact Jeff at the carbuyingtips website. He helped us alot.

Here is another Idea to make sure you dont get RIPPED. If you are paying several hundred dollars or more, invest in a AIRLINE TICKET & fly to wherever the seller is & pick-up your item personally. If they dont want you to do this, be concerned. Me & My Wife work for a MAJOR AIRLINE & we have done this before. it is amazing how this can save you a lot of frustration. Plus you could get a small vacation out of it.
