eBay charges a listing fee now and you pay this even if the item is returned. I recently sold my sons used wrestlers on eBay and was charge a $13 listing fee. I listed them as used and as my sons toy wrestlers, with no returns listed on the ad. The customer however has asked to return them because they are not in meant condition even though this was noted and eBay has agreed. The return will be at my expense so an additional $20 for shipping. So I'm out $33 so far. I know it's not much money but I'm a principles person. The story gets worse they even informed me after asked that there isn’t any guarantee they I will receive all wrestlers back in the box but as long as he sends some back with tracking he's covered.
So my 8 yr old son may in fact lose some of his wrestlers he wished to sell for some extra cash and I'm out $33. To top it all off eBay's customers service is now all out sourced to other countries with poor a idea of what good customer service is.
Anyway eBay is now off my list of services I use for life and I will continue to voice negativty towards the company at all social opportunites that I feel the conversation is relevant.

Lay-away

I'm glad you stopped sending them money, because this sounds pretty fishy, but that's what lay-away is; you pay in installments until it's paid off, then you get to take it home. It's not like buying something on credit where you take the merchandise home & make payments inflated by interest.

We recently sold our sons used wrestlers on eBay and was charge a $13 listing fee to do so. We listed them as used and as my sons toy wrestlers, with no returns listed on the ad "see image". However, the customer asked to return them because they are not in prefect condition even though our ads states they are my sons used toys! eBay approved the return but look at my ad "see image" no returns!. The return will also be at our expense so an additional $20 for shipping. So I'm out $33 so far.
