ECMC You wont know you owe them, pull credit report, call, they arent who you owe St Paul Minnesota

I was notified that my last tax refund had been sent to ECMC to be applied to a student loan. I was shocked because I had never heard of or from ECMC. I had delt with a different company for years and finished my payment book of coupons and thought that all was fine. Mind you that the loan was taken out in 1989 and has changed hands several times during paying on it. I can only guess that some how ECMC got it and never thought it would be a good idea to let me know so now the intrest and fees have made my debt much larger have now handed my loan to yet another company.

I am in the final stages of buying a home and this popps up on my credit report, being a VA loan I cant get the finances owing a government student loan. I call ECMC and find out that they have handed me to two other companies. I call them, one said they have never heard of me (funny cause thier name is on my credit report) the other has my account and thier name is not mentioned on my credit report.

I am frustrated to no end that I loose a house I have worked so hard for all because oneone seems to know how to contact me and let me know that I still owed money that I thought was taken care of many years ago. Then I wonder is it done on purpose to in the end let the intrest and fees make them more money. Who are these people on my credit report!!!!! cause when I call them to fix the problem they dont know I exist. I heard that it was my fault for not telling them where to find me, for who to find me? the loan had been with so many companies isnt it thier job to let me know. If someone owed me money, I would have no problem finding them!
