Ecost.com Denial of legitimate and properly filed rebate Internet

I bought an HP desktop computer that had a $46 rebate. I carefully collected the proper docs to send in which included the required ORIGINAL receipt. I even made a checklist and made double sure and even included the checklist in the submission.

After two months, they sent an email denying the claim because they didn't like the receipt (?!). It's was THEIR receipt, I only had ONE receipt and I sent it. So I took the copy I kept and filed again. Now I got a postcard that denies the claim because it's not an original receipt! Is this a policy or some sort of plan? Sure looks like it.

I'm screwed by default in their sly little game, but you don't have to be. Don't buy anything from them and expect a fair deal on the rebate.

Better yet, don't buy anything from them at all.
