I purchased 20 wireless mice to give to customers as a promotion for my
company. When I gave one to a customer for the first time it did not work.
I tested other mice and learned that none of those worked either.
I called the company on 6/3/11 and was told they would review my case and send me an email with an return authorization number. On 6/16/11, I received an email from ecost.com stating that the time for return had expired however Logitech (the manufacturer) would honor a 1 year warranty. I called Logitech on 6/16/11 and was told
that the product was sold to ecost.com as a clearance item and therefore they would not honor any warranty. I then tried to call ecost.com and was put on hold for 1 hour and 8 minutes, at which time I heard a recording that my phone call couldn't be answered today and to call back. I then filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (ecost.com is
a BBB Accredited Business).

The company responded:

Upon review of the customer's order, we found that your return period with eCOST has expired. Order was placed on the 21st of January and it only has 30 days warranty.

The reason I did not test all of the mice after purchase in January was because they were individually packaged and I wanted my customers to know they were getting a "pre-packaged" item from the manufacturer. Therefore the 30 days were passed without complaining to ecost.

The company never satisfied my complaint or responded further. The BBB continues to report that the complaint has not been satisfactorily answered but is now closed due to time period.

In the meantime, I am out a $150.
