2 of 3 items ordered from ecost.com for a Broan 30" range hood shipped correctly from one of their warehouses. The third item should have been the 30" stainless steel backsplash with fold down shelves. Instead of receiving this item as ordered and paid for, I received a 36" custom hood liner. This clearly is incorrect. I have never received the correct item after 3 weeks now. Every time I call ecost.com I'm told to send pictures and then I'll hear back in 24-72 hours. After the initial email was sent with pictures clearly showing the item number (which is NOT the item number for what I ordered) ecost.com did not call me or send me an email with details on how/when hey would making shipping arrangements to have the item picked-up. In follow-up calls (made while I'm at work) I'm continuously told by ecost.com reps that the "warehouse" reviewd the order and said they shipped the correct item. They asked for additional photos a second time--said I should open the box and take pictures to validate what I'm telling them. I am beyond frustrated at this point. I have never in my life encountered such an unreasonable delay in a company's "effort" to reconcile THEIR mistake.
Still today, 3 weeks later I am being told by a "supervisor" at ecost.com the same thing about the warehouse and that it must be taken up with yet another supervisor. Just another stall tactic by ecost.com. I demanded to speak with this "higher-up" supervisor and was placed on hold indefinitely this afternoon before the call simply disconnected. My blood is curdling at this point. I have the dates of all my calls and my emails sent and plan to contact American Express and the State Attorney General's office to file a grievance against ecost.com for not doing business in good faith and for failing to honor their customer service policy.
