Ediets ripoff fraudulently billed my credit card account, it is mostly an advertising mechanism for weight loss marketing. Internet

I agreed to pay a one year subscription to ediets. It was advertised as a $73.00 per year subscription. However, somewhere in the very small print the actual price was $73.00 per quarter. The latter charge is what the company states was my agreement. Unfortunately, I did not print out my actual original billing statement. MISTAKE 1.

When I contacted the ediets company, a very rude man discounted my understanding of my obligation. He told me, "of course you agreed to this ongoing billing arrangement" Then, he cut off our call when I told him that indeed I had not signed on for continuous 3rd part payments.

Ediets in the beginning seemed to offer a legitimate service. After accessing the site for a while, I realized that it is mostly an advertising mechanism for weight loss marketing.

The most effective counter to such fraud is to inform prospective consumers. If we don't pay for it, it won't succeed!
