ENTERPRISE CAR RENTAL MISLEADING BUSINESS PRACTICES, LOUSY QUALITY CARS, ONE QUOTE THEN DIFFERENT CHARGE ALLEN Texas

Enterprise Car Rental  24 Premier Cr., Allen, TX. 

Provided a quote on the phone for one price, then charged something different(more) at rental...told me I was mistaken

Provided a car that had obviously just been turned in and not serviced.  Back seat was sticky & gross (my children had to put towels over the seat the entire weekend)  Car only had 1/4 tank of gas in it (told we don't have a gas pump and not enough time or staff to get them filled)..nothing worse than leaving the rental lot and having to drive directly to the gas station, not to mention when gas level is that low they almost guarentee that car will come back with more gas than it left with (and no credit given to client for extra gas in tank)

Deceptive trade practice and outright lying:  VLF REC   When I called and asked about this charge on my e-mailed reciept (which arrived 48 hours after turning the car in) I was told "it is a tax that the state requires."...no such thing.  It is an added fee to boost the rental cost.  Official company comment is it helps with lisc & registration..They are in the rental car business, not my responsability to help them with registration fees.  Unethical practice because this add-on fee is not mentioned or noted at initial rental.  Are those costs not already rolled into the daily rental cost?  Different story if they are upfront about additional fees.

Overall bad experience with this location.  They had a great, client service focused manager there and just replaced him with a kid that obviously cares nothing about clients.

So they change the price at rental, provide a sub-standard vehicle and lie about "taxes".  Looks like a great opportunity for a class action suit. Think all those fake VLF REC "taxes" they have been collecting from clients that deserve restitution plus any punitive action a judge could confer.  I rent cars 2-3 times a month and will take my business elsewhere.  The other vendors may seem more expensive but working with acompany that is honest & ethical is certainly worth it.
