I accessed my "free credit report" that I was entitiled to last year and ended up with a $19.95 per month charge that I failed to notice on my credit card statement.  I called to ask how it could be that I got my free report and ended up paying over $100 before I knew what hit me?  I didn't get any real answers just an intense sales pitch to keep the membership.  A lot of scare questions and such tossed at me.  I just kept saying I don't want it.  They agreed to cancel it and refund the latest charge.  They did refund the last charge and then charged me for the next month and THEN cancelled it.  My thought was just good ridance.

I was told by my banker that there was a small medical charge on the Experian report but not on any of the other reporting agencies.  He told me to go to Annual Credit Report.com and look at it.  I did that and was very careful to NOT sign up for any type of membership.  I felt pretty confident and got my report.  No such luck!!!  I somehow signed up again for a membership.  They have these very tricky boxes that you think you should be clicking on but obviously you shouldn't.  The website is designed to trick you and they are doing it on purpose.  I just cannot believe that they can get away with this.  A company that lives to destroy people who they don't feel are towing the line can concoct an internet scheme to defraud people and nobody does a thing about it.  We all have to live under the watchful eye of the credit bureaus and have to fear them greatly.  Can someone please tell me why there is nobody willing to get in their face about this clear and purposeful scam they are pulling?
