How can you justify ez auto being responsible for that? You had the car for a year and a half and for all they know you could have beat on it? They don't know your driving habits? You should have taken it to a reputable automotive service center before you purchased it. If they wouldn't allow you to do this then I wouldn't have bought the car!
Also, the internet is full of used automobile ratings and its ignorance when consumers don't investigate their potential purchases. With the history of your Taurus I would have purchased a drivetrain warranty from a trusted vendor and here again, you go online for this.
You can obtain a drivetrain warranty for as little as $500 a year. Is it worth it? Yes, and you can pay in installments.
About your complaint not receiving a loaner car keep in mind there are not many private used car dealers who offer loaner cars to anyone. Your million dollar Chevy and Ford dealers might do it but not the little guy.
Who am I? I'm a potential customer and I will have my interest checked over before I decide. This is how I found this forum on ez auto and I'm not going to let the complaints deter me from what I think is a good deal.
Investigate before you buy! I am not about to have my bank finance me $5800 towards my interested vehicle until I know it checks out.
Fortunately I am an automotive technician and I know what to look for and if it needs anything I will decide if its worth it to me. If they wont let me look it over I wont buy it. Their loss, not mine!
Moving on from you I notice other complaints and all I have to say is this, nobody has a crystal ball and when anyone buys a used vehicle from a used car dealer they must keep in mind they are auction vehicles or trade in's from bigger dealerships who wholesale them to the little guy.
They may or may not have hidden problems. Its not the little guys fault and once again I am not going to have those complaints deter me from getting the vehicle I want if it checks out clean.
If for some reason I run into a hidden problem I'm not going to hold ez accountable for it either, I will hold the people I get my drivetrain warranty from accountable.

I too was had by the same dealer.  Had the same problem with the inspection, only my trouble was emmissions and ball joints and wheel bearings.  same story...I spoke with NH DMV, they are telling me to write a letter of complaint with all identifying info about car/ people involved, and with enough complaints they will pull the license for selling and for inspecting cars.  They ALSO told me that as soon as the dealer puts temporary tags on a vehicle, they are LIABLE...they are not supposed to put tags on the cars if they are not inspected.  I encourage all who have been dooped by the shady dealings of EZ Auto to do the same and lets shut em down!!
