factoryoutletstore.com Salesperson apparently jacks up the price 60% at his discretion Internet

I searched for Braun toothbrush replacement heads for my 15-year-old old unit. I was not paying close enough attention, and I clicked what I now see was an ad for this website.

The top of the site says in medium print "factoryoutletstore.com" and in larger red print the section I was in "Braun".

So I thought I was on the official Braun site (yes, I was not paying careful attention. I did see it was a factory outlet store, but thought it was officially attached to Braun.)

Not surprisingly, I couldn't find my very-old model listed in the lists of toothbrush heads. But in looking through the options, I did see that heads run close to $10 apiece, depending on model and volume purchased.

So I called the 800 number, gave my toothbrush model number, and asked the salesperson what to buy. He said there was one product, a 3-pack for $48.

I had another item I also wanted to buy, but my browser meantime had lost that connection. So I asked him if he could tell me the brushes item # so that I could just order both online when I re-found the other item. He said NO, he was not able to give me an item # nor any way for me to reference online what I was buying.

I told him that I would call back later, then, after I found the other item.

Suddenly, he was offering the brushes at $29.95.

I did buy them, and I suspect that when they arrive, I will find that $29.95 is the standard internet price (since I had already seen online prices for these types of brushes.) He appears to have jacked up the price 60% for what should have been a tidy little commission for him.
