Bankruptcy

AUTHOR: Agnes - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, February 24, 2003
If you don't have much time, see if you can file for bankruptcy in order to keep your home. If you can't afford an attorney, please check with prepaid legal in your area, even legal aid. (You would have to let them know you can't wait around for action to be taken)

Once you get them on hold from your house, contact the Department of Finance and Mortgages in your area. Keep everything you have. Anything you send, make copies of it and send it certified or overnight. Furthermore, the attorney who has your paperwork is bound to return them. If you find someone from prepaid legal, they will get your papers back. Prepaid legal will cost you only $25-50 to join. You would have about $25 a month to pay, but most people only keep them a year. This will enable you to get a bankruptcy lawyer without having to pay a whole lot up front.

Also start contacting your senators. Don't let them send you pacifying letters, tell them you want a THOROUGH investigation into this company. Let them know that if there isn't an investigation that the next time they run for office you will have proof that they are not for the people and will let the public know. Same thing for your attorney general and its office members.

Prayers.

NEEDED!!! POSITIVE THINKERS!!!!

AUTHOR: Lachuan - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, February 23, 2003
Hi Pam---

Companies pry on people because we allow them to do it. Too many of us do not follow through. We need to stay focus right now. We have to be proactive not reactive. Believe it or not, we now have been employed at a new company called PAYBACK!!! Our company's hours are Sunday-Saturday from 12:00 AM until 11:59 PM. We only hire Positive, Agressive, Determined people! There is no room for non-believers. You can either be a Winner or a Loser in this fight. It's a chose; and today I chose to be a WINNER. Which have you chosen?

Please contact your Attorney General's again, and let them know about this website and conti-fairbanks.com.

P.S. Fannie Mae contacted me by phone on Friday for a full phone interview relating to Fairbanks. They are having a conference with Fairbanks regarding all Fannie Mae loans on Monday.

If anyone is interested...John Sullivan is handling this matter--(215) 575-1497. John Sullivan is an investigator/manager for Fannie Mae.

Much Blessings!!!

Pam, the web address is www.naca.com

AUTHOR: Anon - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, February 22, 2003
Pam!

Please do not lose hope. They are sucking you dry, that's obvious, but there is help out there. Elvira made a good suggestion--I have gone to the NACA workshops, and they are a non-profit that helps low and moderate income people purchase their homes. They also refinance predatory loans. They actually got a lot of their funding through a settlement paid by Fleet Bank, for Fleet's predatory tactics (more info on the website). ACORN is also a consumer advocate housing agency, and might be of assistance.

Also, in some cases, HUD can speed up investigations or get the Department of Justice involved if time is of the essence (keep in mind it's still the government and the wheels turn slowly). www.hud.gov

There are enough reports on this site alone to surmise that this is a predatory lender. Have you filed complaints with the lenders regulating agencies, the State Attorney General's office, etc.? I know it is draining and time consuming, but please do that as you also contact NACA to get your house matter taken care of. A foreclosure will affect your credit for many years to come.

It is a good bet that sooner or later this lender will get nailed with huge fines, as so many other predatory lenders have. At that point consumers will receive resitution and most likely punitive damages, but before that day comes, you have to save your house.

Hang in there, we are all rooting for you!

Please check with NACA

AUTHOR: Elvera - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, February 22, 2003
This an organization that can help you refinance.
They deal specifically with people that are under the thumb of predatory, unethical lenders and are being ripped off.

NACA can get you a very attractive interest rate as well.

You can still be a part of a class action suit if that happens (probably just a matter of time)
They have a website. Search the web for NACA.
If you don't have time they may be able to get you out from under them before you lose your home.

I hope this will help you

Don't give up!

AUTHOR: Dee - (U.S.A.)

Pam,
Don't stop now. That is what they want. Through this website, we know there are others like us who want to fight this unethical company. I know you are probably getting tired of the hassle, but it will be worth it one day.

Maintain your records. Keep track of all calls you make to Fairbanks, the name of the person who answered the phone, and a brief description of the conversation. Keep all letters, even when you get several copies of the same form letter.

Hang in there!
