Firepay ripoff, trying to say I have an account, when I have never heard of this company Internet

I received a call from Firepay, stating that I have returned transactions on my account. I do not know who this company is, nor do I have an account with them. I tried to call them and explain this, but they insist that I am lying and I owe them 1700.00. When I asked for them to provide some kind of documentation stating that I owe them this money, or for them to prove who they were, they said that I knew exactly who they are and that they need not provide me with anything. They will show me in court.

I told them that I wanted to dispute the account, and they told me that I could not and if I wanted this to go away that I have to pay them 1700.00. I told them they were crazy and to call my lawyer. My lawyer has called them twice now, and everytime it goes to their voicemail. I have placed a security freeze on my social security number, reported this to the local authorities, the FTC, and the Internet Crimes Complaint Center.

Firepay has threatened to sue me for check fraud if I do not pay this money. They have harrassed me at work, when I have told them not to contact me at my place of employment. They tell me that they do not have to abide by FDCPA rules or regulations.

I did not open this account, do not know who did, and I am not responsible. I am obviously a victim of identity theft and I am taking every precaution necessary to fight this all the way.
