I contacted FIrepay to inquire why so much was deducted after my deposit and they would not answer those questions. After the conversion, the money was still short. Although they advertise the 3.99 fee, after the conversion and exchange rate more is actually deducted.

I attempted to get money withdrawn from Firepay and into my bank account and 2 people told me that it had to be held for 7 days, and the other 10 business days, when the terms stated 6 business days. They told me that, even though, I could not withdraw the money into my account, I could continue to make online purchases. Strange, is it not? They say it is now processing, and I will keep you posted if it does or does not go through.

I tried to get my account closed and they stated that they could not close it, only disable it. I asked them to confirm in an email that I owed them nothing and that my account was closed, but it took emailing back and forth until they finally said it was closed. If any further transactions transpire after the face I will keep you posted.

Below is a copy of the emails that were sent back and forth, so you can see for yourself the level of difficulty getting answers, the horrible customer service, the delay in getting back a short amount of money, and the refusal to give you their mailing address, phone number and managers name.

If you notice in the emails when I asked for a managers name, a customer service representative, Asadul, who responded in the beginning also claimed to be the supervisor at the end of the emails.

When they called my home the phone number 1-999-999-9999 came up on my phone??? I am not certain if this is real, but I would guess not.

The emails are in order from sending to receiving. If you do not see their response after and before my emails it means they did not respond................

The first set of emails is regards to the money you end up paying at the end of your deposit

I made a deposit of 70 usd. Why is there only 76.50 cad in my account. At the 10% you charge, that would make it 77.00 cad, correct? Another question I have is, why charge a fee then make money of the american rate when at the moment it is 13.57% rate on the market. Why do you pay less exchange rate and make more money on us customers? So, in reality I am paying more? Why?

If I deposit 75.00 cad into your account, how do you come up with the 61.07 I have left over after the exchange rate. I am trying to do the math here with the fee and exchange rates you have posted, and I am unable to come up with the right calculations. Can you please provide me with the correct math here.

thank you,

Subject: Your FirePay Account

Hi There,

I was hoping someone could respond to my questions I had, regarding my account. This is the third time I have sent you questions regarding my account and nobody has returned my emails. I made a deposit, from a poker site, into your account. It was $70.00 usd, but when it went into your account it said $76.50 cad. When it clearly states that the exchange rate is 1.100400, should the total not be 77.00 usd? Why deduct .50 cents when you clearly state there is no fee.

Why do you make money off us customers through the exchange rate, and the fee, when you clearly state there is one fee only. When I made my deposit, the exchange rate was at 1.13.

So, for every buck I deposit, or anyone else, you are also making $2.10 on $70.00, plus the initial $3.99 for the fee, plus the .50 cents that has vanished during the conversion. Can you please explain to me why that is, as a loyal customer? So, in reality, you are making $6.59 on my initial $75.00 cad. You advertise a one fee of $3.99, not more.

Another thing I was wondering about was the deposits from the bank. When I make a deposit of $75.00 cad, at the end there is $61.07 usd. I have been trying to figure out the math here to see how I get that amount. I am not having any luck. Can you please indicate how you get that amount. I would appreciate it.

If you do not return my emails, I will for forward it to someone who will respond.

Thank You,

Hi xxx,
FirePay does not charge a conversion fee, however all
transactions into and out of your FirePay account are subject to our conversion rate. This rate changes daily. To find out what the rate is for any given day, please log into your account at firepay.com and click on the "Show Rates" link.

I understand all of that , but you are not answering my questions though. When you do the math my total is not accurate.I print off the exchange rate every time I make a deposit, as on xxx 11, I clearly am missing .50 cents in my account. Wow, I never realized the exchange rate changed so often on your site.

Can you please answer all of my questions. IF you can't answer them, please let me know, so I can go to someone who can. Thank you.

I just want my email responded to. You did not answer my email.

Thank you,

Hi,

I have been trying to withdraw money from my account and it keeps telling me that a deposit I made of 75.00 is still pending? The money was taken out of my account on Oct 11. I can send you a copy of my statement to show that it was taken out, if you would like, or does it just take a couple of business days for it to clear on your end? If so, how long does it take?

Thank you so much,

Hi xxxx,

The outstanding deposit refers to the fundings that you have made within the last seven days. It takes seven days for us to confirm that the funds have cleared your bank account. This does not stop you from making purchases with online merchants; you just can't withdraw the funds back to your bank until after the seven days have passed.

Best regards,

Please note that although you may see your deposit as having cleared at your end, we do not receive positive feedback from your bank when a funding clears.

Therefore we wait ten days to see if the funds return.

For this period they will remain to appear as outstanding on your FirePay account.

If all the deposits successfully clear your bank account, the estimated date on which you can withdraw the full balance of your FirePay account is the twentieth of October 2006.

HI Jeff,

Thanks for your response, but I would not like to make any more purchases, I would just like to withdraw my money. Why is it I can make further purchases with online merchants but I can't take the money out? Very non- professional like, dont ya think? I can withdraw my money for purchases, but I can't withdraw it to put back into my banking account. Very shady business practice. This would benefit your company cause I would have more fees to pay, but I would like to withdraw my money all
together. So, on Oct 18, the 7 days would be up. So, I expect to make a withdraw then?

Thank you very much

Better yet, I will send you an email with a copy of my bank statement, and you can see that it was withdrawn. Then you can clear my money and we can get this account cleared up and closed. I am sure considering the business I have given you guys, the fees I have paid, and the fact that you would prefer I just make more purchases to pay more fees you can provide great customer service and clear this money. Who shall I send a copy of my bank statement to?

We do not receive positive feedback from the bank when a deposit clears, that is why it is held for 7 days, after that point you will be able to withdraw the funds back to your bank.

I do not wish to FAX this to anyone. I wish to email it. I do not have a fax machine, nor access to one. Who Can I email this statement to. Why is it, you are unable to receive this email?

YOu have been taking all of my other emails tonight? I want this cleared up, so I can get this account closed.

What exactly are your "CORRECT" policies and procedures. I just received the following email from another CSR there with completely different company policies. Are you there to benefit the customer, or yourselves. Or, I suggest you first figure out how to provide good customer service and stop giving clients different responses to questions. YOu should get your facts straight.

I want this straightened up ASAP, and I would like to close this account once my money goes back into my account. I do not want to make any online purchases, I want to withdraw my money. If I can withdraw it for online purchases I can surely withdraw it for myself.

As I mentioned, you can get a document emailed to you asap, showing the funds have cleared. Who will I email this document to? Or is there a manager's contact information I can have?

Hi xxxx,

I've reviewed your previous communications with FirePay and I hope we can get everything cleared up. All deposits into FirePay must be held for 6 days and are released for withdrawal on the 7th day. You made your last deposit on Oct. 10th, meaning the amount of these deposits will be available for withdrawal on Oct. 17th.

Unfortunately, seeing the item cleared on your bank statement will not speed up this process as the system that releases funds is entirely automated. I hope this has answered your questions. Please let me know if it doesn't and thank you for choosing FirePay.

They started to respond differently, when I said that the emails were also being sent to my bank, for them to see the closing of the account. They did not mention the cheque they had belong to me.

This is only to educate people regarding firepay. This is only my experience. If you use firepay, check the actual exchane rate, to and from merchant, and compare it to the calculations after your money has been changed over. You will end up paying a lot more than 3.99, after the exchange rate and conversion.

I found that if you had specific questions they refused to answer them at times, the ones that mattered, anyway.

Gl all.

They did not close my account as I requested...

AUTHOR: Kim - (Canada)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 24, 2006

I went into my firepay account on Oct 20/06 to see if my account was closed as, they said it would be on Oct. 17 (see email above) and it was still only disabled, with the option of it being open again. They did not, once again, follow proper procedure according to customer's rights, nor close the account as promised. After several more emails back and forth they DID close it finally..........after fighting with them. I wonder if they had not closed it and I not told them about the "actual law and rights of customers." Know your rights everybody and make it known to them that YOU know your rights and the law. Do not let them intimidate you !! Report them if you have been ripped off or done wrong........
-------------

(email I sent to them on Oct 20)

As you can tell by your previous email log , I emailed, on numerous occasions, requesting my account be closed, not disabled, You responded by saying it was CLOSED. I just went on to your website to check and it is still disabled.

Following is a copy of that email you sent. It was from the manager, ummmmm, perhaps the janitor, the csr. I am not sure because as A lot of us are starting to figure out, your company is a total hoax and scam..............yeah, you know what I mean.

Do you not even read about all the reports out there about you guys? A matter of time before you get the book thrown at you, I would guess? Lol.

I am TELLING you one more time, not asking you.....................CLOSE my god d**n account or I will report you, to what ever authority, and every authority I can. I will check back in a few minutes and if it is still disabled, I WILL report you to the BBB.

So, close my god d**n account please. As we are both aware of, this is my right as a customer.

Are you not worried that a lot of people will put all of their experiences and stories together and bust your a*s? How foolish you are, diggin a bigger hole for yourself.

CLOSE my god d**n account tonight, or I will report you to everyone.

Do you understand??????????????????????? OR shall I have to have another email marathon once again with you. My guess is this, you may not even answer this email, correct. You see, companies that are legit and honest always provide their customers with what they want, forthermore honour their requests and rights.

From my past experience, you have already lied on several occasions, tried to hold my money, refused to close my account at first, then you say you already did, and now this.

Perhaps I should put this email, giving them an update, on the current situation. Perhaps I should be an advocate against your company, but then again, I would have to fight for that, because there are so many of us out there already.

Email me back to confirm the cancelation of my account, tonight, in a few minutes. Email me back as quickly as you did when I made a deposit into your account.

I WANT THIS ACCOUNT CLOSED. NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO you understand. GOOD.

hahahaha..................gotta like the bs on your site...................."This procedure is designed to protect your bank account from fraudulent use. If you require any further assistance with this matter, please email info@firepay.com from the email address you registered with this FirePay account."

Who is responsible for all the fraud? I am really curious about that......................the poker forums and chat rooms seem to have the answer. Maybe you will get to meet them all one day in court.

email me to confirm the account being closed. I already have an email stating it was closed. If it does not get closed I will forward all the previous emails we sent to one another to the bbb, the police, whoever it takes. You do know this is my right, and I am advising you to practice our rights.

------------
They emailed me back stating it was closed and it was !!!

Correction

AUTHOR: Kim - (Canada)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 17, 2006

I have inserted an email, dated Oct 11, from Firepay, that stated a deposit was made.

I placed the wrong email, pertaining to this situation, in the story.

I actually received an email on Oct 16, stating my money was deposited into my account.

I received this email after I refused to stop emailing, and demanding that something be done or I report them to bbb. I received it after being told it would be held until Oct 20. If there policies are so "automated" and precise, whey release the money after all?
