First American Home Warranty Repairman AWOL for four months--FAHW non-responsive van nuys california

I can't believe this company is still in business. A true rip-off. Need to be reported to insurance commissioner.

We got this warranty through a home we bought. Most appliances (high end) are defective.  The oven is 100 degrees hot.  FAHW sent a repair guy out in May and it is now August.  He has gone AWOL and can't be contacted (after I spent $60). I have tried calling FAHW but their phone keeps cutting me off after being on hold for ten minutes.  The message encourages you to use the online form instead. I have tried their online forms. The forms say they get back to you in 24 hours but they don't.  I have tried writing a letter to their corporate headquarters in Van Nuys.  I told them I was going ahead and hiring someone else to do the job and expected them to reimburse me.  They finally sent an email saying they needed me to send faxes of the repair estimate in order to "pre-approve."  Never heard back from them.  I am going ahead and getting the oven repaired and will sue them in small claims court, I guess.
