I originally purchased a vacation package from an organization called Imperial Get Aways. I talked to a sales rep named Michelle who processed my order on Feb 15 2005 gave me confirmation number, and phone number to the booking agent Florida Tourist Bureau. I then recieved my vacation package in the mail and faxed in my reservation request form to the Florida Tourist Bureau on March 23 2005.
I have attempted to call the Florida Tourist Bureau Inc. now for 2-3 days per week over the last 3 weeks and in some cases several phone calls per day. No one has ever returned my numerous messages and have only talked to a person named Janice who worked for the Welcome Center.
I would just like know if my vacation will be fulfilled as I stated on the reservation request form for April 15/16/17 as the vacation dates.
I would like a full refund of my $452 or for my vacation package to be fulfilled.
I believe more people are experiencing the same scam.

Have hope! THe Florida Tourist Bureau is poorly run and they don't return phone calls, but they do exist. I recently got back from my Orlando, Cocoa Beach, Bahamas trip that was purchased through them. I had to call and hang up on the voicemail about 7 times before I could get ahold of someone, but I finally got everything back together.
Your money doesn't have to be wasted...just keep trying. Be aware that you will have to pay port fees (almost $200 per person) and hotel tax (in the Bahamas it's $15/person/night) and you will have to go to timeshare presentations. You might want to bring a folder to keep all the vouchers together as I had many a stressful moment thinking I would have to spend the night in the rental car. They also won't tell you what hotel you're staying at until you get to FL and check in with their office. But they do exist and if you know all of this up front, you may not have as stressful of a vacation as I did.
