I scheduled my payment on the first of the month for the 26th of the month in which payment would be current. On day 45 they repossessed my car. They took the payment out of my account on the 26 but picked the car up on the morning of the 27. I contacted them the morning of the 27 and was told they had sent email to repo company to stop repossession. We were not given the location of the vehicle to get our property out until Monday. After speaking with Ford Motor Credit they kept telling me we didn't call meaning I had not called them back when they called me 100 times a day starting on the 1st with a schedule payment.
Now I have to pay the payoff to get it back because my state does not mandate it to be lower.
Beware of Ford Motor they do not have the best interest of the consumer in mind.
I will never do business with them again.

I was told that on the 27 that my payment was 45 days past due. They knew it had been scheduled on the first to be taken out of my account on the 26th the 27th one day after they took the money out of my account they said it was 45 days past due even though their online statement showed current because when the payment posted to my account the night of the 26 it was now current. Not 45 days past due. So I am not sure how you can pay a bill with the total due on the date expected and it post to your account and the next day be 45 days past due.
I got the run around on Friday the 27 when trying to find out what was going on and all they kept saying was You should have called us. Why do I need to call them when they have my account information to take the scheduled payment.
Another detail I didn't post in the first time was I was originally told on Friday morning that they had sent an email on Thursday to the repo company not to come get my car.
The company didn't read this email until Monday they are closed and only their drivers work.
According to the repo company that email would not have stopped the repossession they needed a release from Ford saying that they payment had been made.

They Repossessed your car on the 27th which is 45 days past due. yet you went on-line 27 days earlier to send it on the 26th when you would only be 44 days past due?
Is that really what you are saying?
Because I think I can see what happened. You probably made arrangements that if you paid BY the 26th they would not repossess your car. But that is when they want it into them, not when you are going to send it. So since they did not receive it(and they don't care about the "check is in the mail" excuse) they cancelled your agreement and picked up the car..This is NOT a ripoff.
I will never do business with them again.
- Well you are right about that. Because they would probably never approve you for another loan.
