This is a company the deals in providing merchant/credit card processing for merchants.

The company ran an ad looking for reps to sell their services in the Phoenix, AZ area. The ad specifically mentioned looking for reps to sell in the EAST VALLEY of the Phoenix metro area. I called and the recruiter by the name of JIMMY MCCORMICK was pleasant and told me they have plenty of leads/business in the East Valley. The lead system consisted of providing 2-4 preset appointments per day and the appointments were confirmed twice for accuracy.

I went through training (company actually mailed me a tablet) and I started running the first appointments on a Friday. I received 2 appointments my first day (I am going wow this is great) which by the way were NOT IN THE EAST VALLEY AS STATED IN THE AD AND AS STATED BY JIMMY MCCORMICK. And the appointments were over 90 minutes apart. I let this slide being the first day.

I worked for them for a total of five days and only received 2 more appointments after that first Friday. I brought the fact that I was not receiving East Valley appointments to the attention of my sales manager and he said he would get me East Valley appointments. THAT NEVER HAPPENED. SO I GUESS HE LIED

I am ticked because if JIMMY MCCORMICK had been up front and told me they could not guarantee East Valley appointments I never would have taken the job. I live in the East Valley.

And by the way out of the 4 total appointments I received one was a home and one did not exist. Now I do not expect perfect appointments or even to get 2-4 appointments per day, but they said I would get East Valley appointments and that never happened. It sounds like they will say anything to get people on board and it baffles me because it is a ripoff and a complete waste of time.

New Recriut

AUTHOR: John Maxwell - ()

POSTED: Friday, February 14, 2014

I am also a New Recriut with Future Payment Technologies. They stated that they will try to provide appointments and that we should prospect to neighboring businessess. They stated that dealing with business owners will be challenging @ times. Many will not be there or be very reseptive @ first; they are busy people. I understand that it is going to take effort on my part. i made my first sale last week and it was off a self generated lead. This business is for go getters not for Mother's Boys. This is a tuff and competitve world that we live in and if it was so easy they would not need us to go out and sell it. First You sell Yourself and then You market Your product. Peace. John Maxwell. Appointments / Our Agreements with Resellers

AUTHOR: Director at Future Payment Technologies - ()

POSTED: Thursday, February 06, 2014

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. While we do our best to set appointments as close to our agent’s homes as possible, we do inform our agents that appointments are scheduled within a 20 mile radius of their home zip code. In some instances, we may not reach business owners in the immediate area and, as a result, appointments may be outside of an agent’s home zip code.

When a new agent agrees to resell our services, they agree to run all appointments within a 20 mile radius and that may result in driving up to 100 miles per day; however, this is not typical.  All of this information is disclosed to new agents.  Agents provide a signed agreement that includes these conditions and also participate in a recorded confirmation call where they agree to the potential distance of where appointments are set.  We always aim to remain transparent with our agents and will endeavor to ensure our agents fully understand their agreements when they contract with us.
