We bought a garage door from these people. A nice young man came out and did the measurements and sold us the door.  We were set up to have the door installed the very next day - we were excited.  The next day the installer came out and told us the guy who took the measurements did it wrong and the door would not fit. We were told flat out "your current opener will NOT work with the new door, you need a new one".  We were also told that because of the measurements, a new shorter panel would need to be ordered and it would take two weeks to get it!  I talked to Robert, who explained that because this was an older home built before garage door openers were invented, the one we had would not work with the new door. The track was too tall and the door would rub in the track and it was pointed out that it was doing just that on the wooden door we were replacing, and metal on metal would be worse.  They did try to sell me one of their openers, but I chose a Sommer brand which has a flatter track than the old Liftmaster.  Unfortunately, Dallas had an ice storm the week our panel was to be delivered, so they had to put the install off another week. I was told he would be here between 9 & 11. He showed up at 11:30.  He also said it would cost us $149 to have the new opener installed. He stated he had never seen or heard of Sommer and had no idea how to install it!  After we went to all the trouble to help him out and uninstalled the old Liftmaster, the installer said that we did not need a new opener, that the old one would have been ok.  So now, we have to install the new opener ourselves!
