Gateway Chevrolet Lopsided Thiefs and Loansharks ripoff Chicago Illinois

In October 2003 I saw an ad for Gateway and called the number to see if I qualify for financing to get a car. I got a call back from them stating I got a $6,000 check to use on the car of my choice to come out, fill out paperwork, and take home my car.

I thought ok, so I made the trek out there only for them to tell me I need a co-signer. I discussed the situation with my fiance and he says ok I'll co-sign.

Once again we trek out to Gateway...these SOB's told him that no he can't cosign, NO I did not have a $6,000 voucher check, that IN ORDER FOR ME TO GET THE CAR HE SHOULD SELL THEM HIS CAR AND BUY IT BACK AND FINANCE HIS AND MY NEW CAR!!!!!!

Against better judgement we went ahead with it. 2 months after we bought the car from Gateway we got a letter in the mail saying we owe CMS collections $750 for tax and title fees when we had the receipt from the money order and the company receipt showing it was paid.

The absolute killer is I purchased a 2004 Dodge Stratus SE that is worth now $7,000, they switch the interest rate and my payoff to get out of that clunker is $15,000.
