On 12/24/09 I request a payment by Amazon gift card for my participation in the Gazelle & Tell program. The payment was supposed to be issued on 1/15/10. I had not received it by 1/20 so I contacted Gazelle via their webchat. I was told I would get an email update once the problem was identified. On 1/22 I again contacted them and was told that they were still working on it. Later that day I got an email stating my payment had been sent. I never received it. On 2/9 I contacted them again. I was told I would be sent the Amazon code by the end of the business day. Again, nothing. On 2/10 I contacted them again and was told I would have it by 5:00. As usual, nothing. At 5:30 I contacted the again and was told that it was escalated to Finance and I might have it by the end of the week. I then filed a complaint with the BBB. Gazelle responded to the complaint on 2/11 claiming the original payment was sent on time (it wasn't) and that they would reissue a payment by check in an unspecified. I never asked for a check in the first place.
Gazelle has been unresponsive, deceptive, and has violated their own terms of service. Avoid this company at all costs.
