On December 4th Gazelle accepted my phone and said they sent me a WalMart giftcard Visa card in the amount of 201.60. This company takes used electronics and supposedly recycles them. They pay for these items.

After much waiting I contacted them through the only means of contact, a chat. They have no phone number at all and are very secretive as to address and the like. This is very unsatisfactory because it is impossible to speak with management this way.

They then claimed that a new card was issued on December 24th. After much back and forth I am now without my phone and my money. They told me to go ahead and file a report. They seemingly don't care.

So BEWARE. They promise the moon but deliver nothing at all. They are rated good with the Better Business Bureau but that is misleading too. I attempted to file a complaint there and they will not accept my complaint so there is no recourse in that avenue.

First, I am sorry that you felt we were not honest in our dealings with you.  We can understand that we are asking for an incredible amount of faith in us by having your send in your item and waiting for us to inspect it and then send you the payment.

Thank you for letting everyone know that you did received the payment that we sent.  It is never a positive experience when a payment is missing, and we will do everything possible to try to address any situation as quickly as possible when a customer lets us know that they are having trouble.

We look forward to working with you again in the future.

Thank you

Houston We Have A Problem....

AUTHOR: Tim Ryan - (United States of America)

I feel so terrible. It turns out that I ddi indeed get the Visa gift card in question and I gave it to a relative to use to buy gifts.

Again, the fault here was MINE and NOT Gazelle's or WalMart's.  Please disregard my post and know that I will be doing business again with them in the near future.

Thank You

Now the claim I got my payment and spent it.

This just gets more bizarre. Now they claim that they can prove that I got my payment and spent it.  I asked them to show me proof and they gave me a toll free number to call. When I called the toll free number I got a very nice rep who did not have a clue as to who I was or why I was calling.

I was also given a web address to check out. It's asking for the card number -- which I couldn't possibly provide since I never received the card.

     HELP, stop the insanity.

Whatever you do, beware this company. I'm sure it works for lots of people and I'm sure that others have had the same problem I have had. I'm never going to get this money and I can't get my phone back. So.......I'm in limbo.

To be fair, the staff there has always tried to be helpful to my face, though they probably all have a good laugh behind my back.

If you want to play roulette with your money then this is the place for you. It's a shame. I have other items I would like to recycle but would not be able to use the service until I have my payment from this transaction.
