GE Appliance Failure to perform warranty repairs. ripoff Rapid City South Dakota

On November 2, 2005 we called the GE warrenty repair phone number (1-800-432-2737) to report a GE Washing Machine Model Nr. WBRS3150 in need of repair. This machine was purchased May 22, 2005, from the Augusta Georgia Home Depot store. The automated phone service gave us a conformation number of 018791123, and a phone number (1-706-359-5308) of the place that would repair the washer.

We called the phone number provided (1-706-359-5308) and it turned out to be B J Service, in Lincolnton, GA. We were informed by B J Service that it would be two weeks before they could make a service call to repair the washer. Since this timeframe is totally unacceptable we requested a alternative method of repair from GE Appliance.

An e-mail was sent to GE informing Customer Service of our dissatisfaction. A few days later we received a phone call from GE stating they were attempting to find a service company in our area that could provide service at an earlier date. That is the last time we have had contace with anyone from GE. Calls to B J Service in Lincolnton, GA have only resulted in delays, and as of November 22, 2005 we are still waiting for service on the the washer. Attempts to gain status on the conformation number 018791123 from GE Appliaance resulted with the following message:

"We are unable to locate a service call for this confirmation number. For assistance, please call 1-800-GE-CARES (432-2737) Monday - Sunday, 7a.m. - 10p.m. EST. "

This number is an automated system and there is no option to talk with an individual.
