Purchased an item from Gem Shopping Network on 12/30/2011, received purchase on Jan 3, 2012 - Found the item to be worthless junk and returned purchase via Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation on Jan 6 and and the package was delivered (per postal tracking) to Gem Shopping Network on January 9.
As of January 24, 2012 (15 days since their receipt of item) I had not received a credit for the return so called their customer service department. As of that time there had been NO effort taken by this company to credit my account and was given the run-around of the phone being told to call this department and that one with no resolution.
The "customer service" department of Gem Shopping Network stated that my return was delivered to them on January 10 at 9:45PM. Clearly as lie for several reasons; The postal tracking clearly shows the package being delivered on the 9th and the postal service does not deliver at NIGHT!
During that phone call I demanded that my account be credited the next day. Today is January 26, 2012 and there is still no credit to my account.
After spending some time browsing the internet for complaints about Gem Shopping Network --something I should have done before purchasing from them -- it has become clear to me that delaying credit customers returns for many days and weeks, therefore holding on to customers money (virtually stealing) is standard practice for this company as there are hundreds and hundreds of postings about them and their dishonesty.
On their television shows the various sales people repeatedly state that if you purchase and item from them you can return it within 30 days with no problem. Obviously that statement is not true.
This transaction remains on my credit card accruing interest daily for close to 30 days now and I feel they owe me that amount also.

This morning we made another attempt to reach you. Again, we spoke to your husband. (This was before the reminder of your working hours.)
We are sending you via email the confirmation number of the credit we issued to your credit card company on January 11th, 2012 at 8:10AM ET on Order Number 866650. The settlement date confirmed by your credit card company was on 1/12/2012 at 12:22AM ET.
We credited your card the day after inspection and receipt (1/11/2012).
We attempted to reach you within 24 hours of your call.
This whole series of events could have been avoided with proper information and is very unfortunate.
Please note that we do have staff in our accounting and customer service departments each weekday at 7:00am ET. Feel free to contact us if you need any additional information or if you would like to arrange a conference call with your credit card company and our accounting team to verbally verify the credit applied on January 11th.

There has been only ONE attempt by GSN to contact me and that was via telephone on the day following my contacting your customer service department. As I clearly explained to your customer service department during my phone call to them, I work from 8am until 9pm or later and am seldom available by phone, although on the day of your call my husband was home to accept the call.
There have been "0" missed calls or phone messages from GSN on either of our home phones or on my cell phone since you received my return - We keep meticulous and detailed telephone records of all incoming and outgoing calls so I can state for a fact that you have not called us except on the one occasion as I stated above.
I have also been in touch with Discover card several times, including today, January 26, 2012 and they have no notes for any contact regarding my account from GSN.
There also been NO emails from GSN -
To use a phrase I've seldom untilized; You're lying sir!
As of today, January 26 my Discover card has still not been credited by Gem Shopping Network.

Hi,
Please accept our apologies for any confusion in this matter. Let us address your concerns:
1. Credit. Our current policy is to apply credit immediately after receipt and inspection of a returned item. It appears that your credit was issued on the 11th - one day after inspection. We have unsuccessfully made attempts to contact you to determine any possible issues with your credit card company.
2. Receival date. The date we "receive" the item into our system is registered after physical receipt and item inspection. Therefore, "January 10th at 9:30pm" was recorded as our receival date.
I trust this has answered your concerns. If for some reason, your credit is still not showing, please contact our Credit Dept and they will be more than happy to assist. Again, we want to assure your satisfaction and apologize for any confusion.
