Gem shopping network GSN This company sells junk, Internet

I've purchased a half dozen items from gem shopping network, I was told by 3 different hosts that the items I was purchasing were of fine,fine quality. Upon inspection of these items 2 were cracked,one 1.10ct diamond I purchased,from mark the opal hunter,was full of inclusions it wasn't funny. Has I went back and examined my previous purchases I noticed that a Tanzinite I purchased looked like it had been in the process of being set and someone chipped it at the girdle,then they put it up for sale so they can recoupe the money that they messed up on.

All the prices are so over inflated so the price they end up has seems reasonable. They also use a sleazy sales tactic where they will show a loose stone, say real value is 500 and ask 1200 for it,then show the cheap stone in a 8000 dollar mounting. I could pick a stone off the ground and place it in a 8000 dollar mounting and it would look fantastic. If people would stop paying over inflated prices for these items we could get the prices to where they should be,but I understand that people get caught up in the moment,then when you get it home and take it to a reputable dealer they say it's worth half what we pay.

It's because this company is on air 24 hours a day and they pay approx 10,000,000 a year in air time fee's and that gets passed on to us. Remember,the first price they say is a suggested retail price,cut that in half and that's the real retail,cut that number in half again and that's approx the wholesale price anything around there is the true value approx. we the customer set the price,besides gold and diamonds,these gems are not a traceable commodity,and the price is what someone will pay.

People,don't bid up items on auctions,keep the price low,you may not be the one who wins the item,but your doing the right thing by stepping out has you will most likely over pay. If we keep the prices low we all can win and there will be plenty more items comming up. The host will say anything to make a sale due to the fact that they have a minumum dollar amount that must be met per show so don't trust what they say ask them to show back front under gallery ect. I've personally have been told stuff that wasn't true by Kurt,Mark the opal hunter,Marvin to name a few.

Please report all fraud,if you feel you have been defrauded to the consumer protection agency. This is a new goverment watch dog that was inacted through legislation after the bank scandals,and they Handel Internet fraud scams ect. Don't let these companies get away with stealing from us hard working Americans,we have to stick together. Also take any positive testimonies with a grain of salt,even the owner or family can write a positive review. Stay strong,respectfully your neighbor.
