I bought a 2000 impala new and have all bad to tell. At 16731 miles it started making steering noise, I took it to the dealer I bought it from, he replaced front rotors and turned the back at 17045 miles it went in shop for NOISE IN STEERING, they replaced power steering gear assembly, they also fond a dry STEERING SHAFT so they lubed it, this is the major reoccuring problem I have had as you shall hear. It went in shop again for NOISE IN STEERING and was told they had to replace STEERING SHAFT part number E7700 10327502 at this time the rotors on the front had to be R&R H0127, at 44789 miles it developed an intake gasket leak and had to be replaced, also while it was in shop I told them there is a NOISE IN STEERING, they said all was ok. At 58252 miles I took it to shop for a NOISE IN STEERING, they replaced both lower control arm bushings and while it was in they had to machine front rotors, Whats-up with the rotors! They also on this visit got me for the so- called leaky positive terminal on the battery, cost me 86 dollars. They also found and replaced a bad rear strut on this visit. Ok, I got 62440 miles on this poor lame thing, I took to shop for no air-conditioning, they found and replace a bad compressor also they found a bad wheel bearing so they replaced it, now it has 66678 miles on this fragile thing. I'm in the shop for the last time for a complaint of NOISE IN STEERING, they found a bad STEERING SHAFT AGAIN this makes 3 replacements plus original one!!! AND....while it was in shop they found a bad blower motor and replaced it , they found another blown strut so they replace it. They also found a bad gear assembly on front rack. Again, its been changed twice, also found, I was told ,was a stripped tie-rod end ,the threads were bad, do you think its because of all the times they had it apart??? I didnt strip them!?EVEN A NUT HAD TO BE REPLACED THEY WORE IT OUT!!!!! I own a 99 chevy silverado 4x4 bought it new, it has had many visits to shop also, its got 38000 miles and has had the transmission go out,4x4 leaked oil, seal bad . Out at 38000 mile?? I dont haul anything with it. It also had the leaky battery thing! and on and on. I dont drive this impala, my wife 46 years old, works in town as waitress , that impala never gets abused IT JUST CANT HANG!!!! NO MORE GM FOR ME NEVER

Have an 88 RamCharger that has 125,000 miles on it. Has been in the shop once in the last four years. Bought the old lady a 2001 Jetta. In 3 years, it was in the shop a dozen times or more. Everytime I turned around, they were replacing parts I've never heard of. Kind of like your deal. The POS cars they're making now. And they wonder why they're in second place and dropping fast.
