The General Motors Corporation would not give me a car of equal value after my car shut down and all the wiring in it burned. The car was totaled by my insurace company, but I did not have gap and am still responsible to pay a balance of $4,000. 450.00 in monthly payments. I feel that this car was defective in some way,and GM has failed in providing a quality product and quality customer service. To top it off, I also am buying a home through the GMAC mortgage company. They would not even set-up a payment plan and place me in a new car. They just did not care that I lost my car by no fault of my home and I'm guessing that they want me to loose my home also. They would not even refinance for me another car and roll over the $4,000 with a new car. I am so hurt by their action and inaction. The customer is not important. Profit is all and all.

Consequently, I went back to one of their dealershiph "Southaven Pontiac" and was told that my Pontiac vibe was being financed throught GMAC, but Capital One called my on last evening to inform me of the fact that they had financed my new automobile.

first dont know how old the car is. is it brand new just off the lot or did you buy it used? if its used you maybe screwed depending if there was a warrenty on it

second try contacting consumer reports as them if there are other complaints about that model. gmac is very good at hiding facts from us just as most big corps do

we are nothing but sheep being lead to the slaughter house. people need to start waking up about this stuff. remember the move where they ran in the street and screamed IM NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANY MORE

#1 Consumer Suggestion

I also have serious GM car complaint about family's safety

AUTHOR: Steve - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, January 15, 2007

I am glad I found this subject, as this Saturday, while we took our Pontiac Grand Prix in for service and new tires, we were told we had verys erious problems found on our auto.

First, both front ABS wheel hub assemblies are said to be going bad and need to be replaced. Second the intake manbifold/heads were leaking coolant inot interior of engine and signs shown in oil when they changed it.

Now, we still owe a loan on this vehiocle and cannot afford the several thousand dollars in stated repairs, and we have already tried to contact GM about this via their internet site. I also sent copy of work order and detailed letter tpo GM too.

This is VERYs erious, as I or my family could be killed with this vehicle and this is no joke! I am told NOT to drive this unless it is fized, but this is our only vehicle and we need ot get kids to school and to our work. What are we to do?

This makes no sense if the quality was in the parts, byt 3 separate people at the service center told us this is a recurring problem wiht GM V6 3.1 litre engines and the Pontiac Grand Prix in poor design. Is this really true and are there many people like me who are driving a potential killing machine because of inferior front hub assemblies going bad in such a young car?

Anyone else have this happen or been told their front hub assemblies and engine manifold is bad needing major replacement & repair?? My wife is scared about this and I am waiting to hear from GM to my inquiries at this time.
