Georgia Natural Gas Fraudulent Promotion Kennesaw Georgia

Georgia Natural Gas was advertising $.579 rate for 6 months plus a $100 Visa gift card. I stayed 2 months past the original 6 months and the rate went up to $1.269.  I called to see if I could get a better rate but they said no.  I asked if there were any penalties for cancellation since I went past the original 6-month plan and they said NO.  However, on my last bill, they charged me a fee of $33 for Gift Card Reimbursement.  I called to inquire about this charge and they said that even though I had signed up for only 6 months they had anticipated that I would stay for a year and since I did not they prorated the $100 gift card and charged me for the remainder.  The did NOT say anything about having to stay 1 year to get the full benefit of the gift card NOR did they say anything about having to refund a portion of it if you did not stay past the initial 6-month term.
