I got a call from this "Great Atlantic Warranty Inc" company stating that they were offering me an extended warranty on my new truck. They claimed that my current warranty was only 3 year 36,000 mile warranty and that i needed an extended warranty to cover me until 100,000 miles. Well i agreed to it and charged $1875 to my credit card.
Now i found out that i already purchased an extended warranty through the dealer. So when i went to call GAW back to cancel the policy (and at least get a prorated refund)....the number was disconnected....the other number they gave me was a fax #....i've called numerous times to get no answer at other numbers i've found online.
When i google "Great Atlantic Warranty", all that i see are pissed consumer reports and phishing reports that confirm that i've probably been scammed.
My credit card company has told me to put everthing in writing and send proof of my claim, so i collected some the posts from the internet to send them.
All i want is my money back!!! And these scummbags to be shut down!

David, you have not been scammed. Our number has not been disconnected. We sell protection to consumers everyday. Our customer service number is (888) 858-8448.
You have received confirmations of your purchase. Our refund procedure is discussed on the front page of the policy contract. Should you request a refund, please call and discuss this with our customer service department first. One word of advise, have your dealer warranty with you, so we can discuss what is best for you. For instance, does your dealer-issued policy allow you to go to any ASE certified facility or are you stuck with a dealership?
If you are still having a problem contacting us you can reach me at greatatlantichelpdesk0408@live.com
Safe motoring, GAWHelpguy
