Sue And/Chris I actually DID get approved for a refund... But that is ALL I GOT!!! Calgary Alberta

It sounds like my story is exactly the same as everyone else's in the way I got solicited after having my truck in autotrader. Basically they described how they look for "specific" types of vehicles for their "select" buyers that they have prequalified for financing and that is how they make their money. I was pretty suspicious about the whole thing but of course the sales guy was slick and really touted that 100% money back guarantee which, like the rest of you, he didn't tell of the details of how the supposed guarantee worked and there was no way of finding out until they got your money.

Well, after not getting any calls after several days which didn't really surprise me, I decided to check these guys and I realized I was most likely taken. However, I waited my 90 days exactly and did my thing to get the refund and low and behold, I got a letter in the mail from these guys saying they were pleased to inform me that my refund was approved!!

I was fairly surprised until I read onward where it states "Depending on volumes, once the 90 day MBG is received by our office it can take anywhere from eight to 10 weeks for processing."

Then it says... If after that time you have not noticed the refund transaction to your credit card please contact by EMAIL only; moneybacks@greatcarsandtrucks.com.... That's right, it is spelled "moneybacks".

Well, first of all, why would outright scammers even bother to send a letter?? I still can't understand that... Of course, if you can get ANY email addresses from them, it will either go into a black hole that will NEVER be responded to OR it will bounce back because it is not valid.

If you ever manage to get a hold of someone, they will give you the name of someone (in my case they said Chris who was the manager but never there) that will never return your calls. I even asked for an email for the manager and they gave it to me but they said he rarely checks emails.

This chick named Sue claims to have found my file and then claims that the reason I hadn't received my refund is that they lost my credit card information (right!!) and I asked if they could simply write a check because I didn't want to give them that again. She said that was fine and she would pass it unto the accountant and she asked that I wait another two weeks... Well, I have done my waiting and made more calls, listened to more BS excuses. 95% of the time I just get an answering machine and leave messages but I NEVER get a return call, not even ONCE.

These guys have quite a scam going for sure and I am not sure where they find these tweakers that work for them but they all lack a conscience.

I will make more calls out of principle to the police dept and Alberta Consumer Affairs. I can't stand scumbags like this!
