Great Cars And Trucks Mis leading Advertising RIP OFF Edmonton Alberta

I got taken in by this scam. Unfortunately, I failed to do some research before agreeing to surrender my credit card number. Hear is my story, I hope it helps others facing the same situation.

I recieved a phone call from a nice woman named Masha. Se was curious if my 2005 350Z Roadster was still for sale. I said it was.

She gave me her sales pitch about Great Cars and Trucks and what they could do for me, specifically sell my vehicle to a person who had been pre-approved for financing by them. All for a mere $169.00 commission on the sale. So I asked 'After I sell the vehicle, you take the commission right?'

Wrong! She told me the commission had to be paid upfront, otherwise how were they sure to get there money. That is NOT a commission.

I did research after speaking with Masha and called a couple of listings in my area and both the people said the company was a rip off. There were no buyers lined up and they had not received any calls. Furthermore, they said to get their money back was almost impossible.

I sent an e-mail to the company within 24 hours cancelling my ad (before it appeared) and they said I couldnt do that. I let them know in Colorado you have 72 hours to rescind a contract and they didn't care; another example of a company with sketchy business practices.

Luckily my credit card company will dispute the charge and will not pay them but I still have to go through the hassle of providing my correspondance.
