i bought a red trailer from harbor freight tools in california off their website july 29,2008,(they said i would receive in in 2 to 3 weeks) i specifically stated to the ,that i checked with the dmv here in las vegas nevada and they told me to tell them that i would need a name tag on the trailer, a titlea9 sighned by their manager, and a bill of sale for the trailer.i received the trailer on aug 6 2008 and asked the delivery driver where the receipt was and he said they put them inside one of the boxes, when he left,i started to assemble the trailer and noticed , the title on one envelope and the other that was suppose to hold the receipt ( was empty ).
so, i got on the phone and told them that i wouldn't be able to register this trailer without the title,so they said,i would take between 7 to 10 work days to receive the title,so i waited 12 days and no title,so i called them and told them i still didn,t get the title, and asked if they could send it next day delivery buy mai, and that i would pay for it when it was delivered,,they stated that they couldn't do that because the title was coming out of their headqaurters on the east coast somewhere and it would now take 10 to 14 work days to receive it.
i contacted the bbb in santa barbara on the 18 of august but as of late i still haven't got a response...if anybody is thinking of buying anything from this company by e-mail, i would recommend the check out these reports first, now i'm going to my credit card company to see if thay can give me some recourse.what i think is happening here is these people that work fot hft don't really care about the success of the company ,and only live for today, "cause they are very rude, inconsiderate, and some can't even speak very well..
i hope that someboby out there can put a stop to this companies tactics, "cause i actually think they are trying to hide some of their sales taxes by not giving receipts.......please agecy has to check these people out ...thanks for any help in this matter in advance.

Seriously, you clearly state that you got the tittle on one envelope and that you are missing the receipt/invoice. Don't you have the e-mail from your order? That works just the same.

Hahaha you're actually accusing HFT of tax evasion? Those are some fightin words! Seriously dude, get a life.
The envelopes containing the proper documentation is simply scotch-taped to something inside a box that rarely stays totally sealed due to crappy boxes+crappy packing. It probably just fell out.
As for the incompetent employees, I never dealt with customer service, but I'd suggest just contacting the nearest store instead. More often than not, they will have an extra B.O.S. or title laying around somewhere.
