I ordered an "Ultra Ear Sound Amplifier" from Harbor Freight Tools from the Internet over three weeks ago.  I received the product yesterday.  It didn't work.  I am a retired Computer Field Service Engineer for over 40 years.  I know I installed it correctly.  When I contacted Customer Service the person was very rude, and indeed before the conversation was over, he hung up on me.  I was told that I would have to wait for a return package to be mailed from them, return the faulty device in that envelope to them and then they would send me a replacement.  This will be at least one more month.  They have already charged my debit account, and by the time I get the product it will have been close to two months.  Because of the way Customer service talked to me on the phone, I have no reason to beleive that a replacement product will work either.  This means that the time they have held my money without me having any product or use of those moneys will be an extremely unreasonable amount of time.  The cost with shipping was $19.98.  If all else fails, I'll write that money off to just a bad experience.  But it's the principal.  Now that this has happened to me, I've been told by others that this is common practice with this company.  Most of their products are inferior...Somehow, someway there has be a an entity that exists in this country to put companies like this out of business to protect the public.
